Dendrobium orchids are easy to take care and that’s why novice orchid lovers usually starts from this common orchids variety. These dendrobiums are also beautiful but they are not expensive. They come with many different colors. All colors are available in this variety. They are very affordable and a lot of ornamental shops carry them also because it is easy to take care. The garden shop owner does not have to know a lot about orchids in order to take care of this orchids variety.
However, as time goes by, this orchid will give keikis or small growth of the mother plant and the mother plant will eventually lose its leaves. Stem without leaves would look like it is dead. The owner would then think that her orchid is dying. Sometimes, the owner would panic and would then always water it which will eventually get the orchid rotten. Some would cut the dead looking stem and throw it away. Some would throw the whole plant as it does not look pretty anymore, unlike when it was first purchased.
