Phalaenopsis orchids or in short called “Phals” or sometimes referred to as “moth orchids” are the most popular orchids in the market. You see them all the time in garden shops and they are catchy to the eye because of their beautiful moth like flowers. Their flowers have a wide variety of colors.

Here in the Philippines, there are a lot of native Phalaenopsis, and their seedlings are bred using hybrid Phalaenopsis from Taiwan or some other countries with the native Phalaneopsis.
On this video, we are going to find out how to grow phalaenopsis orchids from tiny seedlings to flowering size. There will be 2 little seedlings demonstrated as a start of the video, then it goes to the next bigger seedlings. There are 4 stages that were be illustrated in this video.
In every stage, the care and medium used is explained. The media used are sphagnom moss and fern chips for the the tiny seedlings. Then the bigger seedlings have charcoal mixed with sphagnum moss.
The care is also discussed like fertilization to have healthy phalaenopsis. Also, how to fertilize the orchids to make them bloom. Also, watering the orchids which is the most important aspect of maintaining the phalaenopsis orchis is discussed in this video.
